i recently released a press release (just to try) and got some good exposure to my site with more hits and sales. nonetheless, press releases is another good way of promoting your site and link development. i collected some of the important press release sites where it can be submitted for free. Just felt that i want to share my findings in this forum.

Excellent list. I was just thinking of finding a bunch of these, but now I don't have to. Press releases are one thing I always forget about in my continual marketing.
