PayPerPost
I ran a small blog post compaign at payperpost this week and I'm really happy with the results. Normally when I try to buy blog posts they can run $10-20 for good posts and take a long time to really get all the details sorted. But with this PPP thing I was able to get a lot of posts up in under 24 hours, bought and paid for. All on decent blogs too. They used pictures, the anchor text of my choice, and made very decent posts.
Just something to consider for those of you buying links and posts. Perhaps you should invest in some PayPerPost advertising. Throw $100 in there and you'll probably pick up 15-18 GOOD blog posts in 24 hours.

I've used ppp as a blogger and it is a very good service. For the advertisers, I would recomend not trying to get too much for very little. Some advertisers ask for 4 or 5 links and 300+ words for maybe $4.00. You are going to get what you pay for.

What is the cost range? Like, what's the cheapest you can buy a blog post for at PPP?

You can say that again mate
BUT I would NOT post for that low a price.. its not even worth it..
If you get 20 people bog about your offer though you are getting good cheap traffic..
I am tempted to take private offers tho... why not..

Is Pay Per Post really deception?

Welll if you think he knows it all.. then yes.. but he doesn't he doens't like them... thats why he bashes it..
I don't like to take what people like him say as gospel...
He was one of those that got the publicity of payperpost to where it is...by posting stuff like that..

sorry guys I was away for awhile... to answer the questions... the minimum post is now $5 at PPP.
and at $5 there are a lot of people willing to post. A lot more at $8-10+ though
Right now there are less ops than usual so getting a $5 post running will grab a TON of posters very quickly. (they were talking about it on the PPP forum).
You can set guidelines (such as PR, niche, required anchor text, pictures, etc) but I only ask for one anchor text personally and allow the poster to go with whatever fits their blog best beyond that. I picked up quite a few good text links that way.
also, I don't think PayPerPost has actually taken a hit from the FTC like Jason mentioned. They have taken a very proactive approach though and require that posters use some sort of disclosure policy on their blog.

You know what's really rediculous about the FTC and possible requirements for disclosure? Radio stations don't have to disclose.
Do you really expect me to believe that when a DJ stops in the middle of the news and goes on about a major sale at the local jewlery store they're not gettig paid for it? It's the same damn thing.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about as well. After all, it's solely the blogger's business whether to advertise for a company or not. Don't like it, don't read it. Or?

I am new here but I know from my own work on the side many people are building traffic with paid posts.. I have been helping several forums out and believe the cents you pay for traffic is worth it.
Some good programs that I know help out discussion groups grow are paidpostingtools, forumelves and as you say paidtopost.

I think you're talking about something entirely different. Those services are paid posting services to create the illusion of community. PayPerPost is when people get paid to post advertisements in their blogs.

It means you pay bloggers to post about your site or product/service.

I was an early adopter of PayPerPost advertising.
Now that PPP requires that all posts me labeled as advertising, I have moved on.
I ran an ad on my own site and on a few webmaster forums where I bought forum posts for $5. I had more responses than I cared to handle.
PM me and I'll send you the text and the data entry form that I used.
