Ideas for Extreme Gorilla Marketing with minimul cost?

Hey all

I'm looking for new and innovative ways to market my web development firm. We are in the process of setting up the typical marketing, but would like to go a couple steps further if possible.

My Question: Has anyone used any kind of gorilla marketing and found it successful? If so, would you mind sharing that idea?

Thanks

You're right, except it's 'guerrilla marketing'.

Today, there are lots of pop under/up blocker software like yahoo toolbar, google toolbar. In addition, the browser like netscape, IE also have this function. Advertisers is hard to promote their sites through pop under/up program.

I suggest you can join banner advertising program. I knew one program called Popinads.com , this kind of ads will not be blocked by pop under/up blocker software. This is the demo http://popinads.com/preview.php?type=publisher

Another aspect of guerrilla marketing is that typically it is inexpensive, at least from the perspective of expected ROI. It tends to include fast, hard hitting, relatively inexpensive marketing techniques, that allow a small organization to compete with the big boys.

bcombs: Exactly my point when posting this thread. I need some unique ideas for marketing a web development company. no specific niche as of yet. still developing that. Mainly all we do now is general development for anyone needing. (which is most of the sites on the internet hehe)

We do have 2 big marketing spots. Web Excellence Awards, and a Win a Website contest we are currently running. Any ideas would be GREATLY appreaciated.

Guerrilla marketing generally relies on getting free access to mainstream media. The most common method is to employ someone to wear your logo while doing something daring/interesting/stupid enough to get on the news. Then when they appear on TV or in the paper (either being interviewed or arrested), your logo is right there.

Be warned that a lot of news media organisations resent this attempt at manipulation and this tactic is not as effective as it used to be.

BTW, I've just come from your web awards thread. I won't get started on web awards - suffice to say I don't think they are a good plan.
