Increase site traffic
Hi,
I have a new site at http://www.bootyspot.com and would like to increase my site traffic. Does anyone know of any good marketing programs/companies? I've seen ad that says like 10,000 visitors for $40 and the like.. do they work? Any input would be appreciated.

Personally I wouldn't pay for traffic.
Looks like you've got TWO links from DMOZ...great job with that.
Concentrate more on your inbound links and then when you are done do it some more..oh yeah don't ever stop!
Your site is kind of slow so you may want to work on that part.
Oh and the pics are skewed at bit. I wanted to check out that one girl on the left but it's blurry, got pissed and left the site.

Getting traffic is work. So, there is no easy way to get good traffic to your website. The packages you mentioned are totally worthless. The only good sources for traffic, worth paying for, is pay per click search engine traffic, but it costs a lot more than $40 for 10,000 visitors

I just used one of those services. It was 'fairly' targetted and wasn't too bad. I saw a definate increase in activity - wasn't after sales. It's only $40 so you can't go wrong. If I was spending like $1000 I'd be more rigorous and would install proper tracking.

Oops, your site is inaccessible. Anyway, there are few ways to do promotion for your site.
1. submit it to "site review" sites, it can bring you lot of traffic
2. buy traffic from those pops company, you can ask them for reseller price. Much cheaper
3. submit to search engine, but slower.

There's a whole slew of options. You can try optimizing your site for specific SEs, pay for adwords, or start or join a referral program.
Consider the following facts:
The average conversion rate is 0.3%. This means that for every 1000 hits, you'll get average 3 sales.
So, is $40 for 10,000 visitors worthwhile, or "feasible"? Always consider time, quality, and cost.
Compare initial investment with the time it takes to recoup the investment. The following can be applied to any potential capital investment.
Calculate the payback period. Use average cash flow from sales. How many sales would you need to recoup the initial investment? How long would this take?
If your average minimum purchase amount is $100 and your margin is 50%, then for every sale of $100, you make $50.
For this particular program, $40 is pretty good if they're "qualified leads". By "qualified", I mean that the potential customer belongs to your target consumer market.
If your paybak period is termed in years, you need to use discounted cash flow to consider Time Value of Money (the interest earned over a period of time).
One last thing, you should also consider the saying, "you can lead a camel to water, but it doesn't mean you can make him drink."
Basically, you have to "win" the customer with your value proposition -- your product is perceived to have higher "value" than competing offers.
You'll need to understand your target consumers' needs and expectations to define the market mix, product life-cycle characteristics, objectives and strategies.
Hope that helps.

i buy traffic from my supplier and sell the traffic to my site. And Yes, my site ranking is getting up at alexa; however, it does not help my site to get better at google. Is there any suggestion to make my site easily to get on top of google searching?

Anchor text and inbound links is pretty much what the Google algo is all about.

let me optimize with your method, because few weeks ago, my site at google was at page 1, on page 10 at last week, and it is gone now.

Well, you are correct in some cases. There are many ways of paying for traffic does not work. Some products sell much better than others. Of course, I'm biased, because of the business I'm in. I would suggest checking out my article on this subject at...
http://www.cadenzaweb.com/articles/trafficsecrets.php
This expains why so many of the paid advertising doesn't work. We see quite a large variance of success with our traffic campaigns. Many products to quite well, mainly impulse buy products, like many affiliate programs. Others don't do so well. It depends a lot on your advertising.
Many times paid traffic is not used for generating sales, used to increase page rank, or getting signups for newsletters, etc...
There are lots of unethical traffic companies out there, which is why this type of promotion gets a bad rep. If you properly target your website in these programs, you can have great results. Of course it's a numbers game, but you can generate a positive ROI pretty quickly. There are lots of mistakes people make when signing up for these types of programs, understanding them, and taking the time to properly design parts of your site for these programs can prove lucrative.
I've witnessed it first hand not only with my own company, but with my clients as well.

But your company uses pop-unders. Is that really effective? Most people are annoyed by them.

yes, it is pretty good, and that's why it can last so long; however, it will not get your site on google, so have to do it together. Like to run a trial of resell traffic?
