How do I promote my site? Are there any free classified advertising sites to promote my blog that I can place an ad on?

In addition to free classified sites, there are also free ad forums (again, search "free advertising forum" or something similar).

You might also want to try submitting your blog to social bookmarking sites like deli.cio.us, Stumble Upon, Blinklist, etc. Search "social bookmarking list" and you should find a couple of good lists.

You can also start by using the free traffic exchange programs out there, where you can get targeted visitors.

Searching the 'free classified ad' in Google is good idea, from the results, you will get thousands of places to advertise to.

Also, you can join some blogs communities where you can share your blog with others.

That's I can think of at the moment. I think members here can provide more.

dont use classified ads area - my opinion is because classifieds are mostly used for physical items or services localy

i say just use your forum signature and write articles you get good amount of traffic from them

The best way to get tons of people to your website is by spending a little money. posting in forums with your website in your signature is a great idea. also Trageted Traffic works really well. it can be a little costly but you can send thousands of people to your site almost instantly
