Wink The Digg Effect - My first experience
Got my first success at digg and it was too hot to handle

Bandwidth: 58124.99 MB and for the first time my site was down (the page views killed me)

Highlights :
Jumped to the no 1 in all the blog topsites
Increase in Adsense Revenue - 35$
70+ blog linkbacks (As per Technorati)
Increase in the number of subscribers with 300+ added readers via feedburner

Have register 60K uniques on Day one and 24K uniques in Day two...
My usual is 2K per day


So now i understand why people love digg so much

With my servers in the US, i couldnt have possibily taken my chances

But the traffic was sure good for the exposure, organic backlinks are coming in daily and that look good for now

lol...congrats on actually pulling some revenue out of it. You picked a good keyword. Seems like Digg is Apple, Google, Nude/scantily clad women, and atheist happy to me. I get a lot of traffic when one of my posts are submitted, but the conversions are usually pretty low for Adsense. It's not a clicky crowd typically. To me it is a waste of bandwidth to use it a lot for the amount of revenue it turns into.

digg is one of the best way to have your site known, but then your site should be prepared for the traffic too, such that the tendency for your site to go down, unfortunately digg and other social media is somehow and sometime a haven for spammers http://digg.com/security/Why_spammer...al_media_sites

I recently go into Digg, I really like the idea of user powered news. Although it would be nice if they'd carve out a little section on the home page for real news. I starting spending a lot of time on Digg and stopped dropping by cnn.com - I missed a few big stories.

I'm surprised you go that many diggs, considering you were just copy/pasting from another site. Generally digg users pick up on this and are quick to link directly to the originating source.

normally it is, but if you will comments, that is the day where the users revolt on digg and make every story dugg commenting on the key
