How do you promote a video sharing website?

I've just purcased a video sharing script to start a video sharing community website.

For article content site, I would use article marketing to promote the site. My question is: How does one promote a video sharing website?

Use other video promoting sites.. You know the sites your target audience is visiting..Create short videos about why your site is the best video sharing site or better yet, focus on the one thing that's missing from all the other cool video sharing sites.

And, then do all the other stuff like press release, visiting myspace sites and sharing some cool funny videos with others that just happen to be hosted on your site

Write an article about how someone can upload a video online (depending on your sub niche, for example of how people can update videos of sewing etc)

Create a high rated video, something people would enjoy watching, and either promote it on blogs, or in other video sites.

And don't forget digg! Diggers love cool stuff and they'll certainly vote for your site if it has good quality.
