Massive article submission - good or bad ?

Hi,

I found article submission software that enables submitting my article to more then 600 article directories.

From Google point of view - is it good or bad for my SEO ? is it better to have article submission to 20 good sites rather then 600 ? does it really increase my inbound like to massive submission is like a spam ?

Definitely I would not use any automated tool.

Reasons:

You don't control the destination category,
Different articles directories use different engines, which means you never know if backlinks are inserted properly,
You won't have any access to submitted articles (login and pasword) in the future.

Do it manually, it's worth it. Am doing it manually and the result is significant!

Just a comparison to automated link directories submission:

It is the same thing in the basis and it doesn't work at all.

ajkendall is on the right pathajkendall is on the right path
if you can control where the articles are submitted to and in which category then i don't see why it would be a bad thing

at the end of the day your saving loads of time and they won't all get crawled by the SE's at the same time

Actually, having duplicate content is always bad. Major article submission sites ban duplicate submissions and prefer articles that are unique.

Hello friends

I am satisfied with "janhvizdak" comment. I have done article submission. I haven't done 600 submissions but around 200 submissions and all this done manaually. I got around 50 to 60 backward in 3, 4 days. I really work but i will not prefer automated tool.

50-60 backward? Do you mean backlinks? Are you serious about this?

Yes, swapw when you submit 200 articles (not the same article 200 times, but around 5-6 articles), you get 50-60 backlinks. But as the ones before me, I'll not use an automated tool. Besides, there's no real benefit from these links, other than traffic.

Hmmm don't want to sound like a know-it-all at all, but if you're only getting 50 to 60 links on 200 articles I'd say you're doing something wrong

Submission software to 600 directories is not article submission software. If you take a hard look at their "list" of places, it's filled with obscure directories and FFA areas (to be avoided).

There are plenty of top-notch desktop submission software programs out there. What they do is allow you to store the vast amount of log in information so you're not doing it each time. Then, one by one, the software takes you to the site prefilling in what it can and leaving it up to you to find the very best place in that particular directory for your article.

Even if you want the front page, putting your article into the subcategory best suited for that article is what will generate a first-rate backlink to your site. Also, overall, the pr of a site "passes through" to its entire site (more or less) so aiming for the proper category helps keep the other guys site worthwhile and shows you're a professional

Junk submission should be avoided at all costs when it comes to articles.

My two cents.
