That may be true for www.someuniversity.edu but it isn't true for some student account at www.someuniversity.edu/students/~somestudent/.

Zombie is liked by many
Send a message via ICQ to Zombie
I suppose earlier the .edu or .gov sites had a better effect of their out-bound links on other sites but now due to heavy spamming on these sites also have lessened the effectiveness of the same in the view of the search engines. So a backlink now from a .edu or .gov or any other tld will have the same weightage.

So this pr8 with 374,000 links and the most powerful links are from .edu sites proves that .edu links are powerful.

At this point we are developing .edu sites and most of them have directories. http://www.adison.edu and http://www.nassonu.edu have donation based linking abilities.

Come see how powerful .gov & .edu links really are…
Most of the people I see praising .edu links are just ignorant and misinformed. The others are like you - scamming the misinformned and ignorant trying to squeeze money out of them.

Your adison.edu domain has NO SPECIAL STATUS because of its TLD. It has no more value than any other TLD. A link from a page on your site is worth no more than a link from any other pahe with equivalent PageRank and content.

You are a scammer preying on ignorance.
