How to email my newsletter subscribers?

I am confused as to how I should best manage my newsletter. I have about 10,000 subscribers and it is pretty much impossible to send them newsletters because of ISP or web host SMTP server limitations.

So then I research online and find that there are several classes of services:

1. ones that use their own SMTP servers and provide you a web interface
2. ones that provide the software and assume that you have an SMTP server available
3. mysterious ones like www.aweber.com that don't give any details on how they send the emails and other similar packages that make weird claims about how they mail directly to the recipient server without using SMTP...

The third class makes no sense to me. Seems that no matter how you approach it, there needs to be an SMTP server in the picture that won't restrict you.

In any case, I just need some good advice on how to manage and send my newsletters.

I don't have that many subscribes but I have been using Group 5 mailer to do my newsletter and double opt in sales.

I don't seem to have any problem mailing out about 3,000 to 5,000 at one time.

You might want to split the list up and mail it out over two days.

The great thing about this mailer is you have total control and it's cost effective.

I think,
5000 or 10000 is not the big number to send newsletter.
Most of ISP / SMTP service provider supports these much.

I use PhpList but don't know if it handles those type of figures. Worth a look tho

You could check with your ISP on any limits. I too use PHPlist but the most I done sending at one go is around 6000++

Though sometimes, it's not much about ISP but on the hosting side since I be going thru the host server to send those mailers

sending out mails in bulks can get your IP blacklisted...
Webmails usually give out certain points, once u;ve reached that point they will consider u as spam and blacklist IT.

Thats why using email solutions helps cause they are legitimate and able to send out bulk mails without much problems on IP ban.

one application that i would recommend is Email campaign manager (ECM)

It's easy to use...ntg hidden as u will b controlling your newsletters...
it's cheap...and doesnt require any technical ppl to use it..and it supports a large num of email listing...

Get New Subscribers Through a Co-Registration Partnership: Newsletter publishing insiders know about this one. Or you may try this one

If you start from scratch, go for Aweber.com, Getresponse.com or Emailaces.com. They good deliverability rates. And you don't have to worry about ISPs or getting blacklisted.

If you want to transfer all your 10,000 subscribers, then Emailaces.com is a better choice because it allows (the highest plan) up to 5000 lead imports without having to re-confirm again.

I love aweber.com. It has all of the features you need to send out an email to them all, and you can also set it up as an autoresponder so that it's all automated.

The backend has lots more features than emailaces

The one thing I did not like about this site is it wants you to post regional..

Thanks for pointing out that. I put it on my TO DO list now. It would be a great idea allowing ads to be posted word wide/countrywide/statewide.
Hopefully it would be done within next 2-3 weeks.
