I am confused as to how I should best manage my newsletter. I have about 10,000 subscribers and it is pretty much impossible to send them newsletters because of ISP or web host SMTP server limitations.
So then I research online and find that there are several classes of services:
1. ones that use their own SMTP servers and provide you a web interface
2. ones that provide the software and assume that you have an SMTP server available
3. mysterious ones like
www.aweber.com that don't give any details on how they send the emails and other similar packages that make weird claims about how they mail directly to the recipient server without using SMTP...
The third class makes no sense to me. Seems that no matter how you approach it, there needs to be an SMTP server in the picture that won't restrict you.
In any case, I just need some good advice on how to manage and send my newsletters.
