Other good places to submit articles
Recently I've been using articles to drive traffic to my funny tees website and have had pretty good success. What I was wondering was if anyone knew any other popular article submission sites other than:

1. Digg.com
2. Reddit.com
3. nowpublic.com
4. Slashdot.com

Anybody know of any others that are popular and a good place to submit articles? Thanks everyone.

I am sure an editor will take out your link... but...
What you listed there are just social bookmarking sites and no article syndication directories. You could use http://www.onlywire.com to make social bookmarking faster and easier. And don't ignore Stumble.

I found that articlecity.com and ezinearticles.com are pretty good. At least they work well for my site.

You can also get your articles shown on Google, Topix.net, Yahoo and other sites just by submitting to AmericanChronicle.com.

artciledashboard.com - high page rank and your articles get downloaded and posted elsewhere.
goarticles.com - easy & quick to post article. Has a low page rank but good traffic. Your articles get downloaded heaps here.

I think what you're trying to say here was promoting your posted articles not article submission. Since article submission is basically submitting your actual articles in full length and keywords with author box for your resources.

Aside from those social bookmarking sites, you can also try pligg formatted or pligg powered social bookmarking site like plibb.com, kapely.com and so on.

Just take note if the social bookmarking site has no-follow attribute, you'll gain some traffic only, no backlinks.

Very good point, Raphnix.

Plus, presuming you have a website, you should do that both ways-- that is, add a bookmarking plugin to your article pages, so others can bookmark them.

stumbleupon sends pretty good amounts of traffic as long as your site has something 'funny/interesting/unconventional' to show

the traffic won't convert into sales/leads because stumblers are just people who need to spend some time and see some funny stuff, their mind isn't in buying more and they're not searching for anything specific

it's good for hot niche articles/news, photoblogs, viral videos etc

you can expect to see anywhere from few hundreds to several thousands visits and you'll receive some residual traffic from time to time
