Best software for mailing lists

i got a red flag from my isp like two years ago (i was using their smtp server) they said i was spamming but, i was only sending to my mailing list. Now i'm starting to build a mailing list again, need special software/method so my isp won't send me a red flag. Will using the smtp server of my host server send a redflag from isp? i'm a n00b using mailing lists please understand.

i got the same response from my hosting provider sayin it was spam but it wasnt - so Now I use an external service like aweber, there is another good one called prosender aswell or contact station

I recently am now testing a new service, but it wont let me upload my prior list which sucks cause I have to start all over - ehh its ok - I have 2 services still but if I like this new one then I need to contact the service to upload my old list

If you send an e-mail with a link in it does that automatically make it Spam?

Not necessarily having a link in an email will b considered as spam..but when u're sending out emails in large amount, den at a period of time...when your points drop down..it will get listed as spam...

good way to deal with this is using external softwares...they handle large amount of emails with ease....

one example would be Email Campaign Manager

no - I have links in my emails all the time referring to my website or an affiliate link - but I do not provide 10 links its usually just 1

Well if you have server I have a small script that you can drop in a sub folder, Does need some format work but works for basic text emails. Can cut & paste your bulk email list in this format "emailaddress@email.com,emailaddress@email.com "
Problem it has is the from line can only have one word if you add 2 or more it just removes the space making it one. And the other is cant have hyperlinks the will end being text not clickable

It all depends to the spam filter. Intelligent spam filters will go deeper inside that link while low class spam filters will maybe just ignore it on sight.
