I will jump on the "both" bandwagon too

- plus another way to really involve them if the video is more than 90 seconds and assuming it is nicely edited into manageable 'chapters' - break it up with text at the end of each chapter along with the choice to continue... they might read a few chapters via text and get the video for a concept that is difficult to understand.
Mind you any advice you get will be limited as your target audience and product/service isn't mentioned. You don't use the same marketing techniques to sell lingerie as you do denture cleaning products (there's an interesting model for cross promotion
