Yes. It doesn't cost much at all to make a decent website that can help promote your products these days. You can also do a lot of promotion (article submissions and the like) for free.

Yes its very much possible to promote your products in various ways but just let me know what products are you seeking to market as the marketing will depend on the product to be sold. For example: If you are selling webhosting you can sell in different way and if you are selling a toaster you have to sell in a different way..
Please reply that what is your product..?
Hope it helps...

Craigslist.org is a start. Getting a website up is very necessary - 7 bucks a year for the domain name, $50/y at most for cheap hosting.
Read around the forum - you'll pick up some great leads to what works.

if you can spend $500, you can get pretty decent things up. But you would need to know what's your ultimate aim. is it to provide information? Is it to increase sales? Then you need to plan according to your aim.

Here are some other ways you could advertise on line
PPC is a very effective way given the proper treatment. Identify your niche and select the market you want to cater to and start from there. Research also on the keywords your desired market would most likely be looking for. You should be more focused on getting targetted traffic than just page views. Buying targetted link backs are also effective at getting targetted traffic. It really all boils down to what your site offers to your traffic

The best thing is to get someone to know who knows many things about it.
You can also visit e-bay: www.ebay.de
There is the BEST WAY to buy used things and to sell things.
You can also sell website links.

Are you looking to promote your product on a national level? Would you prefer statewide traffic? Local traffic? International? The scope of how big your target is really matters. Once you define your market you can target this niche easily. Do some recipricol link exchanges with complimentary companies. Try adbrite...sometimes they're super cheap...sometime not....but you decide how much you are willing to spend...good luck

I just posted on this a day ago, heres the Quote:
Quote:
Marketing your website (Or getting it into the eyes of the potential consumer) is a key player in E-business success rates. Not only are marketing campaigns ongoing, then need to be executed in a professional manor as to not be construed as spam or gibberish.
There are thousands of ways to market yourself Via the Internet ranging from free, cost effective, budget wise, to High end expensive. Keep in mind that free is free for a reason. While arguments of whether they work or not continue, our research shows that they do, however they normally require 10x the work effort for only 1% results.
With anything in life it takes Dedication, Determination, & Discipline along with self motivation in order to breed success!
What you should be focusing on is "QUALITY TRAFFIC", traffic that self-Converts (Buys something).
Keep in mind that you need a quality site to produce quality traffic. (Viable original content that people want to link to & revisit -Organic-).
Once you have a quality site up & running (Or think you do) - Ask yourself these questions again to make sure:
* What do I offer that is Unique & Niche in my competitive market? (Originality is essential here)
* Would I Buy from Me? (If not, rethink your business plan)
* Do I talk about me & my company all the time on my site or do I use "YOU" allot to get potentials involve? (Its important to get the potential involved)
* Am I blatantly trying to sell a product or service (High Pressure) or am I trying to educate the consumer about the product / service (Low pressure)? (Human nature is to put a wall up when we think someone is trying to sell us something - Educate them & release the pressure a bit.)
* What is my competition doing? (In order to compete you will have to know what your competing against.)
The above is just a Portion of what you need to ask yourself in order to make sure you have something of Quality to offer the potential consumer. I'm sure it gives you the basic Idea though right?
I wouldn't waist any money on advertising or marketing until you have that down, at least (Might as well throw the money in a fire).
We recommend hiring a professional, however if you have No to Low budgets then free may be your only option, Just don't expect High end results. You get out of it what you put into it!
If you're just wanting a list of options you can do while you're building better quality, here's a short list
* Blogging
* Community profiles
* Link exchanges
* Banner exchanges
* Classified ads
* Directory listings
* Targeted Product/Service pages linked in your main site footer (Doorways)
* guest books
* Paid (PPC) - Pay Per Click, (PPS) - Pay Per Sale, (PPI) - Pay Per Impression, Etc....
* Paid Banner ads, Listings, Submissions, Etc...
* (SEO) Search Engine Optimization
* And MORE!
Hope this helped, I wish you Luck....

Follox theses three rules;
1. Traditional/Web Advertising and Marketing should be afterthoughts.
They mean nothing without a solid infrastructure. Create a strong/large
base of associates. Not at some "small talk", "lets chat" flavor of the
week networking site.
2.Call upon the vast network you have developed. Alert your network of
your intentions. Ask them to direct traffic, favors, and any relevant
information to you. (You will do the same in return for them when they
call upon you)
3. Now you actually have something tangible. (so to speak). In some
small way you might actually be worth something to a prospective
visitor/client/customer. Now you are ready for "pay per click" Google
Adsense, Google Adwords, SEO and all the others joys of putting
yourself out there.
