To grow your business you must...
No matter what kind of marketing technique or strategy you choose, you must be consistency and persistent in your efforts. Selecting a few internet marketing techniques and doing them each and evey day, with maybe one day off, is usually my approach to marketing. If you are inconsistent and not persistent then you are not committed to your business. It may help to ask yourself what you want and when would you like to see what you want happen? This is what I do almost everyday. In fact, I have a picture in my mind of what I want to see, say in a year, in two years and so on and so forth. You owe yourself and your business your best effort so why not make your efforts worth your while by working on your internet marketing techniques consistently and with persistence.

I think that the only thing you need do to be sucesfull is to test and measure your results.
If you are testing the effectiveness of things you are doing and you have quantifiable goals, you can say, yes this will get my what i want in the time I allocated, or no its not working try something else.
people have a habbit of just going for it, not knowing if it worked or not then trying things that are less effective. To move forward you have learn from what didnt work, to do that, you have to know if it worked, how much it worked, what part slowed it down and what could have been done to make it better.
The velocity of money needs to be tracked, and it always has to be speeding up.

Being consistent and persistent
Thank you MrCat for your nice reply. You do make posting pleasant. It hasn't been all that pleasant as of late. To answer SAB's question; I just started my business about a month ago so I have a while to wait before I can say whether my business is successful or not. I can say I am getting results. My reason for stating the importance of persistence and being consistent in life with your action is that I have seen this to be true in my life. I attended college actually on a tennis scholarship, but I was burnt out on tennis so I gave it up. I was young and didn't care. My father was upset with my decision and said that he would not support me through school and being the stubborn and head-strong person that I am, I didn't care. Did I pay for the decision yes. It took me 10 years to get my college degree. I worked 2 jobs and took classes, I was a biophysics major. I had to quit college a number of times due to lack of money, work to get more money and then go back. The grants and loans did not cover everything. I ended up getting very sick. In fact, the doctor told me that I had cancer, lymphoma, so I had to quit again. Once I got better I went right back to school and got my degree. I got a Bachelor of Science degree in math and then went on to get my masters in computer science. My career took off and before the changes in the technology, I was making over $120,000 a year. Again, I studied hard and worked hard. I had a nice big home, and nice car and things were pretty decent for a while. So, I tell you this to show that even though I was confronted with many obstacles during my life, it never stopped me. I did the work; I went to my jobs, I went to my classes, and I studied and I did this over and over again for 10 years. Yet, I never gave up. So, yes, I think I am successful. I overcame a lot and I am still here and doing well.
Thank you....

nice.. i totally agree with you with being consistent.. I can't stand websites that are inconsistent with their designs, i can't stand people who don't walk their talk.
Consistency gives a congruent signals to your customers.
anyway, you have nailed most of the essence down. I can only say all the best in your new site!

I like to think in terms of what did I do today to get me closer to my goal. My goal is to become crazy rich, so each day I think to myself "What did I do to get closer to my goal"? If the answer is quite often nothing then you have to come clean with yourself about how seriously you are about reaching you goal. Doesn't matter if it's business, sports or becoming a professional pole dancer.

Thanks everyone for your wonderful responses. I guess I got a little too personal about my life. Sorry if I offended everyone, but I just wanted to show that if you make a decision and stick with it, the odds are in your favor that you will be successful at whatever you choose in life. It really is up to you. Mxracer170, I ask myself the same question everyday.

As Steven mentionned above...
To grow your business, you MUST track your advertising efforts! Like we all say, track your ads! Get tools to measures your conversion rates, CTR, etc. Collect data that will better guide you where to stop what's not working and emphase on what's working.
Lots of networkers or affiliates don't do this. I think it's critical in any business, especially at the beginning or in the early stages. I used to only "pitch" without knowing where my traffic was coming from...

No matter what kind of marketing technique or strategy you choose, you must be consistency and persistent in your efforts.
This is usually it, but getting to emulate Kentucky Fried Chicken first owner would definitely be of no good, you just remind me But either way, persistance almost always get you positive results. As they say, "You only need one success"!

yeah its great that you have brought this subject up actually because i have the same sort of system in place, where i spend a MINIMUM of 2 hours per day promoting my business, generating back links etc etc. i only have 1 day off per week, but never miss my 2 hours promotion EVER for my other 6 days of work.
the first year of work i did it all for nothing because i didnt generate any work from my business, but 2 years on, i am reaping the benefits, and now getting daily orders and am making a mint, so im very happy that my efforts paid off in the end!

Growing your business
Thanks swiftmed, your post was very motivating. I have been doing this for about 7 weeks and I am thinking things are going very slow. My goal is that my business will be bringing a mint like yours.
