How do you make videos for YouTube, etc.?

I was wondering what kind of software you should use to make videos/tutorials for YouTube, MySpace, Revver, etc.

I use windows movie maker. Easy and fast. but not too many features.

Right, satangod: Me too. Windows-movie-maker is the easiest and best i know.

Windows movie maker is fast and simple. However in most cases the quality drastically falls when you convert from wmv to flv. So it is best to go for a mpeg to flv or AVI to flv conversion. You can convert to your own FLV format with programs like EasyFLV - www.easyflv.com (watermark as well).

i use several softwares like pinnacle, adobe, ulead and windows media maker. i found ulead as a very simple tool in editing. but you can also make some slideshows online ... you can try downloading "photostory" or any other free slideshows software ... and then you upload it on youtube or any free video site for viewing.

I use windows movie maker - its great and simple! but I will be upgrading to adobe premeire soon

You just convert it first to .flv file.. Meaning flash... Then you upload it to Youtube...

I just search for .flv converter on Google...

As a beginner try Windows movie maker, I think that's the best one to use.

I use Honestech Video Editor.

They have a free trial available. The full version is about $50.

I'm curious; what is the advantage of converting to flash? I've got a couple of videos on myspace which I recorded as wmv files - they uploaded ok and seem to run fine as well.

I use my own video camera that I bought. It came with special software and a plug and play feature into my computer. It makes making videos soo easy

Casio has that Exilim camera.. It did the best quality YouTube videos EVER..but mine broke cause someone threw a basketball at it.. But, I highly recommend it. I bought a 'nicer' camera thinking it would outdo my $200 Exilim.. only in picture quality. The Exilim has excellent video quality.

I just realized I have Windows Movie Maker.. it's very simple and good.. if your video is good it'll set up your timeline and help you get your video just how you need it.. but if you're ever looking to improve your video quality, spend a few bucks and get Sonic Foundry Vegas Video.. oh my goodness.. I'll never use anything else. Simple with TONS of features. Imagine Jasc Paintshop Pro.. with video.. not quite Adobe Photoshop quality.. but there's tons of stuff you can do!
