Cost per 1000 v Cost per click (please explain!)
Could someone please enlighten me (in simple terms) the difference between CPM and CCP advertising. I read somewhere today that CPC is fast becomming the prefered option however I notice that alot of the big websites use CPM as there main method of pricing.

cpc = the visitor literally have to click on the ad for you to be charged.
cpm = cost per mille or something haha (French I believe), it doesn't matter if you get 1000 clicks or 0, you still pay whatever the cpm rate is.

CPM is cost per thousand impressions...i.e the number os times your ad is shown on the website...
