StumbleUpon Vs Google
Hi all,
Want to tell you something. Like I am getting more visitors for one of my website from Stumbleupon rather than Google nowdays.
Its seems like Stumble! has a good future and also I have analysed that Stumble! is also upating their tools day by day....
What u think Guys....What about your websites after Stumbling !!

Visitors or Traffic is one thing. But the type of traffic is even more important.
How long are Stumblers staying compared to those from google. Are they buying a product (I don't know what your site is about) or are they clicking ads.
i.e. which group is more profitable?

You are right, Stumbleupon is updating their tools everyday. Stumbleupon is one of the social bookmarking site that can gain traffic for a site but based on I observed the traffic is just temporary unless you stumble your site or your blog.

This really means nothing if we are talking the difference between 20 visitors and 50 visitors. I can't imagine Stumble providing more visitors when we are talking 2,000 visitors or more.
Are we talking a low amount of visitors?

As Skinny said ... I'll say the same ... visitors and traffic is not same, Stumble will send you visitors who are interest in browsing website, but Google will send you traffic who are interest in getting service from your website.
I guess you want what i'm saying.

I just joined Stumbleupon yesterday so no personal experience yet. However the friend who recommended it to me says she gets a lot more visitors from being there and she feels its good to get her new sites known and "out there". So I am interested in seeing if it makes any difference to mine.
However I agree with Skinny "Visitors or Traffic is one thing. But the type of traffic is even more important".

Ok, That's right, I need to edit my post, I think... I am getting more Traffic (would be the right word here) for one of my website from Stumbleupon rather than Google nowdays.
Stumble! is a Social bookmarking website, not a search engine but gonna very powerful I think.... but your web page should have something valuable and interesting thing which you are going to stumple!... People have liked my pages and done their good and bad reviews about it...So, that's how I got that much visits/traffic at that website.

I receive the equal amount of visitors both from stumbleupon and google. Both of them are equally important to me. But stumbleupon send visitors only to the certain pages of my site and google sends it to different pages.

Mit,
Stumble Upon Dot Com is a social networking site with a difference. If you feature high on this site, you can expect loads of traffic from this site. Stumble upon actually allows people to have SU toolbars and then they can continuously stumble the sites based on their interests..

Stumble traffic is great but it will slowly 'stumble' away like digg traffic does.
It's a constant battle if you want constant traffic from Stumbleupon.

I have some websites in stumble and have not seen any traffic at all. I think it might have to do something with the the market that I am in (financial services, insurance) It is brutally competitive and I would not be surprised that some financial service website stumble their sites everyday. It is great to get feedback from some one who is going well with stumble, keep it up.

I recently joined Stumble! and have gotten addicted to stumbling, but am not sure how to use it to increase traffic to my site. I did a review for 1 of my pages, but am not sure how often to do it so it's not just spam, kwim?
What's the best way to use Stumble for increasing traffic?

That's not necessarily true. I check my Analytics daily and it seems that I have a higher "bounce rate" from Google traffic than anything else. Plus, I've discovered a ton of awesome sites I would have never been exposed to through Stumbleupon.
btw, has anybody heard Google Adsense doesn't approve of StumbleUpon and considers the traffic "invalid impressions" ? Jeez, they're already bad enough with "invalid clicks" garbage now they are cracking down on "invalid impressions" ?? I think it's time that webmasters and SEO's put Google to rest.
