Suggestions on Branding a Blog
Hello, my name is Chase and I am news to this site, I just started up a comedy blog with several writers. We are looking to advertise heavily and get our brand out there. We have a preliminary marketing scheme, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how we could be more effective in our advertising and branding. the site is www.thenewsreport.net

I have so many sites but crawler does not appear in my sites otherwise it seems

Try finding newsletters in the comedy niche and running ads for your blog. Also try ads or links on other comedy sites. Take a look at adbrite.com and text-link-ads.com for some.

I usually try to use my domain name as my brand. I think I can kill two birds with one stone by doing that because I get the people to remember the domain name.

IMO there are more scope to make it viral rather than branding such sites. Make a viral video of some comedy scene with your own original content that can attract audience, later share it through networking.

I run a blog for odd, funny weired, bizarre news stories. Only way you can brand the blog is with unique content. And people love to see pictures as well as a well written article or so.

Try researching other blogs in your niche and begin posting/commenting on them. Establish relationships with other bloggers in order to begin getting links, etc. to yours. It is a great way to start.

Well duh just start writing and promoting the blog. Your not going to get it branded by asking questions here, you need to start virally promoting content. let the blog brand its self.
