Know How Much Your Site Worth
f you are selling your website its better you get an idea of how much it may worth. Or may be just out of curiosity you wanna know how much your site worth. I found a website dnScoop.com where you can get an estimate how much your site may worth.
Factors that effect the price
- Age of Domain: Older domains tend to rank better, and they also tend to be worth more money.
- Google PageRank: plays a considerably important role determining the price of a site. Higher the better.
- Inbound Links: The total number of pages that contain links to your site gives an idea of how popular is your site among others. More inbound links you have better your chances to get a higher price.
- Traffic: Simply higher traffic means higher price. Alexa rank, compete traffic analysis, or other similar rankings can give an indication of a site's traffic.
DnScoop Scoops it all for you
DnScoop did an amazing job finding out most of the above mentioned information for you. Only they don't give much information about the traffic. Still they give a good estimate based on Google page rank, alexa rank, inbound links etc. And its free to use.
Google.com worths $1,595,000,000. Youtube.com worths $240,800,000. May be its time for them sell their sites and go on vacation now.

Excellent share webcosmo Though aren't these tools algorithm? Based on a tool such as the back link checker it's prediction runs on a 25% actual result level. But who really knows how much Google really is, I think it might be close to 2Billion to all honesty, if not 3.5Billion if someone was really interested into buying it out.

I'd think both Google and Youtube would be more than that. Does this include the whole business and site content or just that domain?

that tool is completely invalid. Says:
The estimated value of my site is: $4,142. Man, my site earns such amount in 4 months . Definitely useless tool.
Although I appreciate webcosmo's effort and this post .

This is interesting. I don't get how they can value your site.

I wonder how they calculate the worth. I mean, there's no inspector going around your business facility with a notepad...I think it's based on the amount of pages and backlinks. There's quite a few useless competitors who earn much less than I do, but they have a lot of empty pages and old forum backlinks from 1998. Yet, they're worth 3x as much. I agree, useless, but fun!

Its very approximate.
They calculate the price based on Alexa rank, Google PR, and backlinks.

those website are wrong, real value is pretty much 12-18 months of your website income. So if your website makes hundred dollars per month, it can be worth $1200 to $1800, and that depends on how likely it can make that amount, other factors vary that amount to, such as source of traffic, how old the website is, also demand for the website, if no one is willing to pay that amount, then the price will be lower. If there is a high demand for it then you can get the maximum amount for it.
