Talking What is a good way to market my topic?

I have a website called computerbuddy.org it was just revamped and the main theme of the website is profesional forum posting. that at least is the main service that we offer. along with that we run a directory, forum, free seo tools, and many other great services. so far no one seems interested at all to use any of it nor purchase anything.

im wondering how to get people more inerested. i just started a google ads campaign but i need a good place to reach my targeted audience. i have seen that forum posting is really big around other forums so i have posted here and all around the place.

any other tips tricks and or little secrets you want to let me in on with how to really market my site?

Thanks

Hey! I think I bought a one of your packages yesterday!

Try using stumbleupon.com They are cheaper than google adwords (5 cents a click) and can get several hundred REAL people to your site in about an hour. They have over 4 million members... its hard to explain what they do so I would just recommend checking it out. (Basically they integrate into firefox and people 'stumble' onto your site).

I don't know about others, but this is the first time I had heard of professional forum posting. It might be that people are just a bit skeptical? Do you have a page that assures people that you'll post real posts and not just spam? I also would like to know how you handle requests by forums that are specific to a trade or require expertise that you probably don't have (i.e. airplane engineering, professional cake decorating, etc)?

I like the little intro that you have, but I think posting examples of some of your posts may give you even more credibility.

I'd also spruce up the header, somehow the geek head on the left is not enough. I'd liven up the site with more graphics and links, but you don't need that much, just that extra bit of "umph" I guess.

Just my $0.

Also, you have tables saying "This is where PayPal goes" across your pages, which makes you look a bit unprofessional.

Also, why do so many pages show "Dirtylicious" in the title?

And the pagerank checker shows up things with NaN and an x-ed image. I'm not sure what that is either. You also have an error on that page, something about "Not implemented."

ah yes i know about many of these issues and im working on them. the site is not fully complete i understand.

I know what your trying to get at with the forum posting and having examples but i really can't. i saw a guy start a business with the same topic and when he used examples BAM he went off the map becasue the whole businesss needs to be kept confidential. That way it looks legitamate.

Linkbait!

Try using spicy, catchy link texts for your sites. Use alluring punchlines like Special Offer, Absolutely Free, Affordable, Discounted etc

Go for Squidoo.com, use your target keywords in link texts to improve your rankings in search engines. Use social networking/bookmarking sites like stumbleupon, delicious, magnolia, digg and others...

Thank you
