I prefer building own links. Sending emails to purchased email list is kind of spamming. That will destroy your brand.

The conversion rate on mail outs is about .0001%

plus you have to know what you're doing or you can get into trouble with the engines and the law.

Thanks for the inputs. Just wanted to know if there were any success stories that might make me give it a thought.

Are you using safelists

A great place to market is with safelists. If you search "safelist" on google and click on the sponsored link titled "Safelist Secrets Revealed" you can get a free video tutorial on how to use safelists effectively and you also can advertise your site to the front page of google without the insane PPC costs.

Do some research on spam law first. No sence getting a lawsuit or worst getting criminal charges....

I was in the spam business for a few years. Got out when the laws changed......
bad business....

Safelists are spam free, they are groups of people have agreed to receive emails.

You really need to read up on the spam laws kid - I was in the business,

Don't take advice from these guys -

You just don't know where these lists came from and what country you are sending to - besides the conversion is so low it's not even worth the trouble......

It is a criminal offense in some countries unless they specifically requested contact from "your" company

Maybe your safelist experience wasn't that great because you don't really know what you're doing.

I've had extraordinary success with several safelists.

I just don't understand why certain people try to discourage others from trying the options that are out there.

With all of the junk out there, it is a breath of fresh air to be able to try something that is very inexpensive.

The whole "spam laws" is a scare tactic. There are several safelists out there and they are opt in and many of them are double opt in to satisfy the spam law restrictions.

There will always be nay sayers. The best thing to do is research it yourself and not let someone else deter you with their ignorance.

Get the free video tutorial and find out for yourself.

LOL,

I pumped out millions of emails a day when I was in the business, I gathered targeted emails from web, company databases (what say it ain't so - someone would hack a database just for emails),

kid you don't have a clue.....

I got out of the business 4 years ago.

You don't need to tell me about how email campaigns work.

(you have no clue how many sites are blocked by aol, rr and every independant isp banning users from even getting to the site sending them or they are traced back to). Got a abuse@yourwebsitename.com? check it you'll see who blocked you...

Why do they ban them? Because you're stealing their bandwidth mailing in junk with megs worth of pics......lol

If you're going to do it do it smart (I had burnable IPs and domains setup just to do it and protect my clients (thousands of IPs - - Those blocks are being used by regular ISPs now - poor bastards)

Don't bother - return on investment is low.

My bet is you're a spammer that just pumps them out without protecting your clients - that's the worst kind of spammer - they burn everyone! Even hotels got smart about your type - they block spammers now.... but then you probably never set up in a broadband hotel .....lol
