Why some email solistitations don't work

I got this email forwared to me by a pro bono client today.

I though it was worth sharing - Here is the email she recieved and forwarded to me, asking me to "give her hell" ....lol

Here is my reply:

Hi Jessica,

Kathy forwarded the message to me.
Up until just recently Isellsoap.com was optimized for wholesale accounts. The goal of the site was to obtain wholesale customers and make just enough retail to pay for hosting.

After picking up two major distributors (one that has over 25,000 accounts and the other with over 100,000 accounts), she asked me to slow down the wholesale accounts.... optimization, until she can gear up to handle more.

Unfortunately, it will take a little while for the engines to reduce those leads....lol Fortunately or unfortunately ...., she got 1 wholesale inquirer a day. Yesterday she received a 1000 soap bar wholesale order via the internet. Ouch.....


"wholesale hippie soap", " wholesale motorcycle soap", "wholesale lighthouse soap", "wholesale biker soap", " wholesale Military Soap", " wholesale Seashell Soap", " wholesale alligator soap", " wholesale tropical soap", etc, etc, etc, etc.

Those are still near or at the top in the engines for now. But hopefully they will be are dropping soon, it will take some time. Hopefully, she will expand to the point she can handle more enquiries soon and I will optimize for it again.

Retail is not a major concern right now, she's having a hard time keeping up with wholesale orders.

I have advised her to place Items on Ebay and she does a couple hundred a day on ebay and has a person to handle the orders. The site does 50 - 60 a day in retail orders. The site will probably turn into a customer support site soon.

When she can hire more employees I will optimize the Isellsoap.com site for retail for her, if she still wants it or can handle it.

I did this job as a favor, I am a pro online marketing guy, I handle some very large corps.
I think she's very happy with the price she paid for my services (free.....lol).

Yes, you're right. Just try to avoid giving too much details on your site and don't entertain them. LOL

Well I was able to knock her site down one place with this post and get a distributors page in the site #2....lol
