What’s an advert seen by 1 million people worth ?

This is a very simple question:
How much would you or a company pay for a million people a year, to see your site url and slogan?
This is not a sale pitch in fact I’m not selling anything but I was just wondering in your wise opinion what would a company pay for an advertisement that guaranteed “at least” 1 million viewers per year?
This could be a url or product picture. This wouldn’t be a target audience, just random people seeing your picture – url and slogan.

If the url and slogan isn't related to the content of the site it's on, it isn't worth much. If the content is directly related to what I sell, then it's worth much more as I'll receive more traffic because of that fact. You can't just put a flat rate on ad impressions, it all depends on the ad and the site it's on.

I think the price would depend on who these visitors are and how they relate to your website.

If they aren't your target audience then I wouldn't spend much while the price would increase if the people viewing this would be interested in what the site does and offers.

If this is just a million random people that see an ad for your product, then not much as it is untargeted mass branding. Is this a million people seeing the slogan and URL or a million people coming to my site? For a million views of just the slogan and URL I would pay about $250-500. For visits to my site I might pay $.001 to $.01 per visitor.

It also depends on what I'm selling and the background of these million people. Are they all from the US? Are they all English speaking? Is it random from worldwide?
