how to attract visitors?

I would like to attract more potential customers to the site votingserver.com which is dedicated to remotely hosted services. The services are created to help webmasters upgrade their pages with new interactive tools such as voting feature, guestbook, chat, send-to-friend, etc., and do not require special knowledge of html and programming.
Currently we have several hundreds of subscribers after opening the registration in September 2007. In my opinion it is quite a little. I need your advices in site promotion and attraction of customers (as prospective audience is very large: webmasters, users of social webs, etc.)

Yes Votingserver, the market is very large but it's a very competeative market and is made of companies who spend a lot of money on advertising and promoting their hosting sites. Are you planning on spending money to promote or looking for free methods?

Relavant, unique and useful content is very important. After working on your content, build backlinks to your sites.

Just a tip: Use interesting, eye-catching anchor texts (relevant to your niche) so as to draw traffic more effectively

If you can figure a way to make any of your services unique, you'll be on to something.

Until then, your competition seems to be enhancing their offers on all fronts, so you may get a few sign-ups but that might not be enough to make a living off of it.

There are a few ways you can attract visitors. I have been learning lots of traffic generation strategies over the past few months. I'll share two of them with you.

Create How To articles and publish them to websites such as Squidoo, Hubpages and EzineArticles. But make sure your content is unique and fresh. Also it MUST be helpful don't just spam or you wont get many visitors.

IMPORTANT: Don't try to sell in your articles, just give good information FOR FREE! people LOVE free information.

And the second strategy you could use is create the same kind of thing but in video format. If you don't have any video creation software just download the free 30 day trial of Camtasia.

Video is becoming the best way to attract traffic to your website. Just upload your visitors to Google Video, YouTube and websites like that. I guarantee you, if you do this correctly you can potentially attract hundreds if not thousands of visitors a day.

Who visit your site they are people and we all also know that all people wanna every thing in title cost. so first of all remove your all costly thing from home page and keep there which this is cheap. and i believe this is a bit part to attract visitor in your site.

i think that Simplicity is the key, with clear, relevant graphics "you could make them into colourful and noticeable links", a white or pale background using reversed text and graphics thats will be fine.

Why not do this:
- convert the icons from a background image to an actual linked image with proper alt and title text;
- create a navigation menu. Once you go past the homepage, there is no way to click on any other services offered;
- get rid of the index.php?sid=promo and link ONLY to your main domain name when using links to your home page;
- pick one of those services and always offer them for free.
- work on content. Have the mindset that content leads to links leads to visitors, not links to visitors and I'll work on content when I have time. You're gonna add content anyway sooner or later. Why not work on it right away and start gaining natural backlinks without spending even one second on posting your own links anywhere?
