It depends on the release.
If it's tech related I always include WIRED, Popular Science, Stuff, etc.
If it's for men I target Maxim, GQ, Details etc
If it's celeb focused I target People, Star, and other celeb rags.
Every press release I sit down and say who would I want to see this story run in.
PR is not about quantity it's about quality. I would rather have one good story in WIRED than 20 crappy mentions on some unknown blogs.
