My web site (sig below) went from over 1.8 million to 985,000.

Most of my visitors do not have toolbars.

Alexa is not very accurate , i wouldnt use them for statistics. IMHO.

Our site traffic has increased every month yet our Alexa ranking seems to zig zag like a sailboat track - very confusing

There's nothing on the web that's 100% accurate to began with, everyone's using some sort of tracking devices and there are always ways to get around it. At least Alexa is trying harder to get it working although they've still got a long way to go.

Very true buddy! And atleast Alexa is trying to improve on their service

Other sources
I wonder about the We now aggregate data from multiple sources bit. Where are they pulling the data from? Alexa used to be mostly good for techie type sites. Depending on there source of data it might actually be a real improvement.

Yes they do need work on it but I use it as a gage and the adjust the stats knowing that it is probably 60 to 64% accurate.
