Help! How to promote Online

HI everyone, I started a online business a few weeks ago and I'm very happy with it I already got 5 checks, and the pay is very good but the problem is that I want to drive big traffic to my site but I'm on a very small budget at this time till I get going. I was told there are free ways of promoting my business and I can get lots of traffic but they never told me how to do this. If someone can give some helpful advise I would love that. I know allot of people in forums have lots of experience in marketing online for free or even at a low price for those of us with a tight budget. I was also told I could buy leads but I want my own leads to drive my business.

First and foremost, work on your SEO. get some organic, natural traffic happening. I have a website submitter suite which submits to over 4000 different directories. Its really easy and good. Drives SEO traffic from 4% to 50% of your current traffic. This is the one that converts really well. Let me know, I can arrange something for that. Another great way is by submitting your site to all the major forums and boards. I know this is considered link spamming but with the right place and the right time, you can make money while sun shines.

I consider myself an expert in attracting free organic traffic, I have been studying different techniques for about 6 months now.

Two of the most effective techniques I have found to work, are creating How To Articles and Videos. Your content should be fresh, unique and helpful. Once you have created some articles and videos just upload them to sites which allow free publishing.

The article submission sites I use are:
www.Squidoo.com
www.HubPages.com
www.EzineArticles.com

and I the video submission sites I use are:
www.Youtube.com
and google videos.

By the way don't just promote your business, you should offer content which can actually help them first position yourself as the expert even if you don't know everything in your subject area.

After you have successfully made some articles and videos start introducing your business. Thats what I recommend.

Your videos don't have to be the most awesome videos you have ever seen, they can just be simple audio with a powerpoint presentation. If you don't have a screen capture recording program I recommend you download the camtasia 30 day trial.

Find out the keywords which are related to your business and try to use them in meta tags and your content.
Build links for those keywords.
Write articles and blog postings.
More than anything you need to do it on a regular basis then results will come automatically.

One of the best ways to promote online is to write a press release, and then get press release distribution services like PRWeb to distribute your news for a small fee.

A press release, when done the right way, will catapult any website to success.

But you would need to follow that up with articles to keep up the momentum.

Build more backlinks - either for SEO benefits and Drawing direct targeted traffic. Here are some ways you go about building links for your sites:

Directory Submissions - targeted links at high PR directories
Blog and Forum participation - to high PR and frequently crawled sites
Social Bookmarking - to high PR SB sites with lots of traffic
Press Releases - for more traffic
Classified Ads - for more traffic
Article Marketing - submit to high PR directories, could also serve as link baits
Link Exchange - with relevant and authority sites
Link Baits - for organic linking
Etc. etc.
