Lightbulb how to get more business opportunities

As a successful international trader, I’ve made a few mistakes along the way and learned some lessons the hard way. I’ve done business with just about every online sourcing company around and many that are no longer around (luckily they are no longer doing business). I’ve know there are a lot of other traders that use the internet as their sole source of research, generating business leads and growing their company. For all of you traders that are just getting started, I’ve put together a short list of popular e-commerce sites I have done business. Hopefully this will help you make an informed decision when you decide to take the plug and start your new business.

1. www.globalsources.com
Globalsources.com provides you with online marketing methods and other advertisement channels including offline exhibition, magazines, laser disks, etc. If you are a larger company specializing in the electronics or gifts industry, globalsources.com is a great choice. However, their membership fee is very high and may not fit into your budget.

2. www.alibaba.com
Alibaba.com is one of the most popular B2B websites. They will provide you with a lot leads. Actually, they will provide you with so many leads that you may not be able to sort through them all. Sometimes the leads are on target with what you are looking for and sometimes they seem completely random. Good site but can be very time consuming.

3. www.tradekey.com
Tradekey.com is a great resource if you are primarily focused on sourcing. They also are also good at SEO which means some product keywords will appear on the first page of Google, Yahoo, Ask and so on. This is a good way to help you promote your products.

4. www.dhgate.com
DHgate.com is a unique B2B website. DHgate.com focuses on providing low-cost wholesale products to Buyers who are mostly form US, UK and Australia. Unlike Globalsources.com there is no membership fee. This is your site for purchasing low-cost products safely.

5. www.ecvv.com
Ecvv.com is a special B2B website. Their business model is somewhat different and has very stringent pay out methods for its users. This site is for more experienced traders and not right for everyone.

I hope my few tips help get you started on your journey to success.
