Has my site reached its critical mass?

Hello all, I run a niche self-help website that has been online for around 15 months. The site regurly receives between 4000-5000 page views per month. The site makes 200 dollars a month from its built-in dating section and a self help hypnosis dowload affiliate. The site has been built up from scratch. Originally, nothing was spent on advertising; now I spend 100 dollars on Adwords every month. I have worked hard on trying to break through that 200 dollar mark - a few months ago I added a monthly newsletter to the site but I still can't get the site to break through that 200 dollar mark. Has the site reached its critical mass? I don't want to wash my hard earned money down the drain. I own two other sites: one is a clone of the other except it is targetted at a different aspect of self help; the other is aan eccommerce store. None of these have been advertised in anyway so far except for monthly SE submissions?

Any advice would be excellent.

It'd be helpful if you posted your site so that we can let you know on what you should focus on to increase your web site traffic.

Some basic things to do
1. Get more backlinks - The more sites you have linking to you, the better off you are.
2. Add more content to your site. Especially content that isn't highly competitve on google, these are easy ways to get more Search Engine traffic.
3. Hire a SEO - I'm thinking this isn't for you if you don't want to spend more than a hundred dollars.
