Hi,

Often people are looking for the free advertising and classified site and go through google and find many lists for these site but in these lists all sites are not valid or not free etc. Here I would like to share a list of some selected sites for free advertising.....

Most of the sites are free classified sites. When you submit your site you start getting spam mails. I generaly avoid submitting in free classified sites.

I already signed up to some of those sites, and I must say that craigslist gives a lot of traffic..

Indeed.....all are selected and good ones but Craigslist and kijji are always better ones among all......

Thanks for the list and good helpful post. you may want to add, use a different e-mail address other than your main because you will get a lot of confirmation emails which is not spam. They are just confirming that your ad was posted.

I have an automatic submitter that submits to the above list daily and I get a bunch of confirmation emails daily. I just delete them.

Note: Craigslist I submit by hand weekly. You also note some on your list that are not truly classified sites but are forums. Did you know that you can post your ads to online Malls?

The disadvantage to some of these free classified sites is your post expires after 7 days (Craigslist for example)--- meaning there will not be enough time for Google to crawl the Backlink, or if they DO crawl it-- there is a "THIS POST HAS BEEN EXPIRED" message.


Good list, although you didn't show ZIPLY (www.ziply.com)--- which has a 360 day time allotment on postings!

Doesn't it go against Craigslist's terms/conditions to advertise your site on there? Or is that only for affiliate things?

I have about five ads running on there right now in the small biz section which has been running for some time. Three of the sites I am promoting I own and two are affiliates. I just renew them every seven days.

I have made some sales from there but no repeat business. I do things backwards and have not been too concerned with backlinks when it comes to posting my ads on craigslist.

Do not post to multiple Cities, they do consider it spamming. go to services offered, then small biz and post accordingly. you can also use html but stay away from pictures, they sometimes frown on that. I live in the San Diego and post there also. that way if a potential client wants to meet face to face, it`s a lot easier.
