Yahoo looks to Google for partnerships

Yahoo is likely to push for an advertising partnership with the web search leader Google Inc. to help boost near-term operating performance, sources familiar with the matter said.

Expectation that Yahoo chief executive Jerry Yang has another strategy up his sleeve could help mitigate a steep descent for the company's shares today, but he will face angry questions from shareholders if nothing materializes.

Sounds interesting. I definitely think Yahoo is headed towards a steep downfall here relatively soon if nothing happens at all. Google is pretty much dominating them at this point and Yahoo is lacking creativity to compete.

Sounds interesting but I don't think Google would do that as they are far ahead of Yahoo.

After Yahoo ignored Microsoft (or did Microsoft abandon Yahoo?), now Yahoo "propose" Google to be their partnership.
I think Google will abandon Yahoo too.

Actually, Microsoft denied any idea of acquiring Yahoo. So the story on this one, this is something new to me as well. I doubt it's true and even if it is, it will be a no. I'm sure the government will be involved on this if it's true and it's actually bad business for them.
