How about online free classifieds like craigslist it will give your site huge traffic just be careful submitting some ads they are very sticked when it comes to that.

Link Building (Social Bookmarking, Directory submissions, Blog posts,etc.)
Effective HTML (proper use of html tags)
Quality Content (unique and useful content)

Yeah i tried ezine. It gave me some traffic. The success depends on the content. If you have great content you will have higher chance of success.

I'm using Visitor Frenzy (www.visitorfrenzy.com). This application sends HTTP requests with your URL as referer to thousands of websites. This makes a webmaster think they got a hit from your website and they'll check your site to see where their link is placed.

Works pretty awesome !

I am not a friend of social media traffic since I have a B2B site. It had not increased my ROI one bit. If you need links than yes, SM works very well.
