Get visitors related to your niche using a piece of software called Visitor Frenzy!

This software sends HTTP requests to thousands of URLs with your link as referer,
this makes the webmasters think they got a hit from your site and will check out your site to see where their link is placed (Which isn't, so they'll even check your website several times sometimes)

I like to create a network of sites and blogs within a certain niche and network them together. I use different hosts, free blogs and online pages like squidoo

I've had pretty good luck joining forums around my specific niche and contributing to the community. Keep in mind this gets harder the more specific niche you go, but generally the more lax signature requirements are.
