email address database

Hi All,
I have just started email marketing for my new website. Can anyone tell me where I can find the database of email addresses for free or the best way to create it.

Put something on your website to capture from visitors' email addresses. An opportunity to be entered into a competition or a newsletter sign-up box often works. We've got the former on our website, and we're building up a list of customers to send a blanket email to. This approach is usually most successful, as the punters have opted in and are willing to receive an email from you

You could buy a list somewhere (agencies, forums etc), just be careful a) it's legal b) you don't get ripped off. Another way, probably the worst, is to scan websites for email addresses. 'Contact us' sections, for example, list email addresses within companies. This method however is time consuming and rarely effective.

Capturing emails by spidering web sites is illegal and unethical . period.

That means you are sending sp*am.

Instead keep a form on your web site > offer something free like a free report or free ebooks > go with double opt-in. Though you develop email list slowly with this method, you will end up with good responsive list.

No offense, but people like you should be banned for life from the internet.
Asking us to help you being a spam whore...
You cannot just send everyone some untargeted spam. The only thing you could do is try to find an email service where people have signed up to receive promotional emails.

Give it time, ours took a while to start getting results, and even now the performance is nothing special.

I'm not sure of any software for that purpose, maybe someone else can help

I agree with the person above me. How about give them an incentive to join your mail list like a free PLR ebook perhaps?
