The best way is go to the OEM's service center and get it fixed. There you may end up paying little bit more as compared to some 3rd party repair shops but you will surely get genuine parts.

Assuming you are referring to a mobile phone, a while back my son's phone needed fixing as it also had an issue with charging. It was also out of warranty so we went to a third party service center, and after the repairs (charging port replacement), it charged better (not great), but this repair caused another issue with reception. We ended up buying a new phone.

In all honesty, if you didn't put a lot of money out on the phone, go back to the reseller or your provider and maybe they'll give you a deal on a newer phone.
