To All Users **Please Read**
To New-Users,
First, welcome to v7Network! We’re glad to have you here. (:
Don't forget to introduce yourself! Oh... Introduce yourself, not your website. urls will be removed. As will company names and so on. The Introduction is about you, all about you you you. Tell us who you are, where you're from and why your here, not who you work for or the site you made. (:
As a New-User, you are expected to read and abide by the rules. Look for them at the top of each forum in a sticky.
If you have any questions, Mods and Mentors alike are available to answer them.
We really love excited users. We do. But what we don’t love, is spam.
Well… Who does, really…? Am I right?
Actually, I can honestly say, we won’t tolerate it. It’s not even a love/hate thing. We just don’t want to see it… and frankly; we ban spammers. Simple.
To the Regulars,
We really love the enthusiasm some of you have in welcoming our New-Users. However we will not tolerate Rapid-Firing-Welcome-Messages. It’s tantamount to spam.
And, not only does it look bad on the forum but it makes you look bad.
We want to welcome New-Users sincerely, not with ctrl-v, ctrl-v, ctrl-v… etc…
Anyone repetitively posting the same welcome message up to 3 times will get a warning. More than 3 and it’s a point. Again, this is ‘repetitive posting’ we’d much rather see 3 or more individually written welcome messages than 10 copy/pasted ones. This doesn’t mean that it’s okay to copy/paste your welcome message 3 times
On the topic of repetitve postings, we would also prefer users who feel compelled to welcome a dozen new users in a 5-15 minute period, spread it over the course of a day instead. This avoids the long line of 'your name' in the introductions thread which also looks bad.
While we realize a lot of Users do this to get to their 50 post count in order to enable their signatures… You’re signature or all your spammy posts wont mean much if your messages are in the spam-can or you’re banned. And all messages that meet the criteria will be merged and go to the spam-can so they will not count towards your post-count at all.
Add to the community.
There are plenty of threads, conversations and discussions to take part in.
Do that instead and we’ll want to keep you (:
