Hey Gang.

I've been put off by a few other forums. Nothing specific, just didn't get a warm-fuzzy feeling.

I'll be lurking in the weeds for the most part, but wanted to introduce myself.

I run several high-traffic communitys, so I understand the importance of saying hi to the natives before I jump in posting.

Anyways...hello.

I'm just outside Cleveland Ohio.

in my "day job" I own one of the Stored Value networks in the US. Translation: If you have a gift-card in your pocket, there's about a 10% chance that when they swipe it at the register, it goes through my system to check the balance.

What this also gives me, is a bunch of programmers on staff that I can use to develop the websites for our publishing company. We are primarily focused on people with disposable income. Golf, Cigars, Watches, Audiophiles...stuff like that. We own 2 of the larger/older golf forums out there...and plan on growing them this year.

I was a 'Webmaster" back when that was a new title in the early 90s. I'm more interested in figuring out new ways to leverage the 250+ domains we own. With more than 1,000 IP addresses and farms of servers at our disposal...we ought to be able to do SOMETHING cool. (right?)

I'm still lurking...I'll get to 'question asking' soon enough.

(Good tip on the doughnuts...I almost ate one of those earlier!)
