So, UH, every newbie gets their own thread? How Delicious...

Hello v7n Forum Folks.

*Enters the party room with drink in hand. Sticking out my hand to shake
yours, a nice firm grip, no sweaty palms, good eye contact, big smile, and
away we go... *

I first have to boast four of the most darling grand-sugars God ever put on
His green earth. Really, I swear. But then again aren't they all simply too
precious for words? Cannot help myself, I am a Gramma.

I can't talk about myself without some online business moments highlighted -
here is the first (and maybe only) of those comments:
My first online company took shape in 1992 with a good partner who, after
three great years, tons of money made, absconded with $128,002.31 dollars
of my money. If I ever find the scum, I will gleefully seek out a grizzly mob
member to break his knees. The $2.31 was the tip off, as it was an odd
amount on the books.

My second venture online has grown to be a great enterprise encompassing
many URLs and uh, I am the sole owner, no real partners involved now
or ever again. No one has access to the bookkeeping system except me. This
makes for some long days and nights.

I am a web developer and do my best to be as honest a person as is
possible. Please do not put me in a category with the so-called SEO expert,
money grubbing, self-serving, all encompassing, we know it all, category of
web developers who turn out to be the scum who take your money and give
you a lame a** website and otherwise zip in return. Your chances are about
50/50 to find the real services you are looking for. I fall into that upper 50%,
the one's that deliver, in this particular scum market.

Read between the lines when looking for web services. Not all are created
equal. What forums like this one affords us all is a place to learn about each
other and search out services and products that we can use without being
scammed. <-- this is my tip for today and hope it doesn't get this post red
flagged!

*Handing out business cards as I work the crowd - picking up a new drink
and stuffing my face with anything that does not contain flour so I look like
a pig hogging all the shrimp and crab... tough nuggies. I got food allergies!*

I work from home and make a decent living at what I do. I don't jet off to
exotic places (although that would be fun, eh?) and then bore all my friends
with emails full of photos of how great it was for ME (UH, that would be fun
too-heh) I like being at home, working from home, and seeing my family on a
regular basis. We can live, love and laugh right where we are.

Let’s see, what else... OH, I am a copywriter and editor. I started out
writing tech manuals (long ago in a galaxy far, far away for the surface
mount technology industry from the crash dummy point of view... that is a
story for another time). Don't depend on me to write anything flowery. It is
usually not my style.

Since we are not supposed to post urls I won't send you to my ryze page to
get further acquainted. It is mostly about business but there is a lot of
personal stuff too. Pictures you might have enjoyed viewing. Too bad, so
sad - LOL.

The social hour is almost over now and before any speaker gets up to bore
us with the latest big goog algo updates - let's Party! WooHoo!

you have pomegranite marqueritas here, right?*

Ooo - thank you. I saw this in your sig line:
"Larry - Addicted to Coffee and Proud of it!"

I have some rather odd food allergies - coffee is one of them - I just found out about
coffee this past summer. I thought I would DIE without my coffee! I'm now used to a
couple of cups of tea in the morning. I truly miss the the "buzz" when I managed to
drink a whole pot of coffee before 11:00 am. This is not one of those allergies where
your tongue swells up but one that eats holes in your intestines. I'd rather be choking
on my tongue, quite frankly.

I don't mind tea, but not for breakfast.

Sorry to hear you can no longer indulge. I can drink enough for the both of us.

Juan Valdez won't have to lay off any workers. lol

We were so nuts about coffee around here. I was buying large bottles
of flavored syrup for the group - french vanilla, irish cream, hazelnut and others.
I now am using the syrup in my tea. It's not bad at all, once you get used to it.
It was Yeck! at first - but you do what you have to do, you know?

I should be drinking green tea and guess I will have to go that route soon too.
The smell of the coffee makes my mouth water!

Lucky you and everyone who can imbibe!
I do miss my coffee. Juan Valdez is rich enough.

Hi Jamilla!

Thanks for the kudos/comment - I'll try the buddy list thing again later.
If it doesn't work, I'll have to assume it's because I am still a newbie.

I always try really hard to follow all rules. With a rather cryptic/odd/dark
sense of humor I get into trouble sometimes - Yikes! Sheesh...

Hello Strong!

Sorry about the book. Did it tire your eyes? I get carried away!
Even 5' here - short enough - Ha!
