Anyone had success with creating niche homepage?

I am doing some research because I want to make a homepage with google search for my niche market.

for example: If I liked monster trucks, then a homepage that people would start with to search the web like google, but with articles about monster trucks and info, etc.

I hope this makes sense.

Absolutely.

My first product from 2002 is selling well to this day, it's a small hypnosis niche.

My question is, how fast can you get a site up, and profitable?

Just food for thought, most people NEVER complete anything, and that's why they never make any money online, or elsewhere.

I don't have anything yet. I'm still in the research phase. I don't want to start anything if it isn't going to be profitable.

Looks like the server is down.

For what it's worth, there are no guarantees. That product I thought would have a short shelf life, it's still selling strong 7 years later.

I've had projects just crash and burn. But if I complete 10 to 100 or more projects a year...

I have some discipline with my projects to eventually finish them. Time and money are more my problems than anything else.

This homepage idea is being done in joomla. Anyone create a directory like website/homepage with joomla?

For my determining a success in a niche will be knowing what niche do you like to promote and share. Once you love on what you are doing that will increase your motivation to promote your website and be number one on your desired niche. Unlike just going to the latest trend and entering a niche which is for you is boring but has many visitors.
