Thinking Bigger About Your Online Business

This was written with bloggers in mind but I think it's applicable to all business owners:
Quote:
...In this day and age, there is no excuse for doing things that you don’t have expertise in. You can hire others. Not only is it WAY more affordable than you may think, but their location simply doesn’t matter. Sure, cultural things could play a role, but there’s ways to deal with that.

So, here is what I would recommend to you.

Take off your laborer hat and put on your executive hat. Look at your ideal scene. What do you want your online business to look like? What SHOULD it look like in order to scale to the point that you want it to scale?...

My biggest problem is the bottleneck one. I simply do not (want to) believe that my business will be able to thrive without my constant input.
I will need to work on this.

I have planned and revise the plan several times about my online business. I was trying to delegate some unnecessary works to the team, but most of their works quality and timing were unacceptable. I hope I could find a better way to manage the team and do not have to do everything myself ever.

Delegation is something that's clearly beneficial and yet many of us struggle with.

I guess we all think that we know best and are in the best position to get things done!

Yeah useful article and the concept is great. It reminds me of the eMyth books...don't work in your business, work on your business.

You aren't the only ones. We all need to learn to let go and just let someone else handle a task their way. It really doesn't matter how it got done, just that it is of a quality that reflects favourably on the company.

Have you laid out the quality expectations to your subs/employees? If they don't understand the quality you want then they can't meet it.

Do you give them deadlines? And stress that that is the deadline, no if, ands or buts? I worked in an industry where this was the way it was. You got your price in on time or no chance for the job, period.
