How Many Online Businesses

I was just wondering how many online businesses people have. I've that it can become slightly confusing having too many, but at the same time, a variety can keep my self motivation at a high. Generally I try to ensure that I'm keeping an eye on 5 or less at the time and currently i'm running 4, as that is the point that keeps me interested and motivated at the same time, without losing focus.

I have two. Since I'm selling products that I make myself, run a "brick and mortar" store full-time, and do a lot of networking, both on and off-line, I really couldn't handle any more than that.

I had 2 online businesses in the past, but keep running one actually.

If I am selling something different in the future, I will probably develop another one but certainely not in this conjuncture.

We incubate many online businesses for ourselves and clients. There is no limit to the number which you can incubate. But, once orders start coming in you need to staff up otherwise your customer support will suffer.

Great information going on here. I've got 1/2 dozen running and several domain/business ideas brewing at all times

I have one online business - linkpushing.net and do a variety of JVs with different people to generate revenue for a variety of websites as well as a few dozen sites of my own that I promote and drive traffic to.

I'm working with 5 sites composing 4 businesses with a few other sites on the back burner. I would agree that anything over 4 or 5 starts to get overwhelming more than it is exciting which is why I've recently pressed the "pause" button on a few of the businesses I was working on. I guess once they all start going well I'll start bringing on interns or outsourcing stuff. Is that how everyone else is doing it?

I have only one. But I'm relatively new in this game and have much to learn. When I have my business up and go and make some money from it, I'll build another, and more later. It's getting easier to start new businesses when you know how to do it, and it's reasonable to diversify, to have different businesses to rely on.

Its good that you are focusing on 5 right now because more than that may also hamper each of the products and services you offer. There are lots of factors which need to be kept in the mind while doing so like you must able to concentrate on each and every product and also able to promote it nicely. Networking both on-line & off-line both are really helpful.

I run my main site that leads to work with clients. I try to make the ideas that I brew up fit the mold of what I'm currently doing rather than stand up an entirely new project. Apart from my main site I've cut down to two other affiliate sites in two different niches.
