customer reviews - how much do they increase conversions?

Hey Guys,
We are trying to round up all of our customer reviews and make a script and post them on our page, but I feel like there has to be an easier way.

Has anyone tried revoew.com for a webmaster panel? It looks like customers can leave reviews right from your website, but wanna hear feedback about it first.

Hi Jaime,

I'd say reviews are one piece of the puzzle. Not being familiar with your website, I'd check these credibility items first:

1. You accept PayPal or Google Checkout, so people aren't forced to use a credit card on a site they're not familiar with.

2. You provide good contact information, like a phone number and physical address, as well as email. Live chat also helps sometimes.

3. You have an easy-to-find privacy policy, so people aren't worried about spam.

4. You use familiar logos, like an SSL padlock and applicable services like UPS/FedEx/PayPal.

Cricket also has a great article at http://www.gnc-web-creations.com/web...redibility.htm . After you've made sure all those are covered, reviews can be really helpful. If you do or plan to do any PPC marketing like AdWords, you might want to go through a website like resellerratings.com for company reviews. Google actually picks up those reviews automatically and it will display star ratings on PPC ads once you have a good number of reviews. Plus, you'll be getting a good quality incoming link to your website. Then for actual product reviews, it really depends on what you already have on your website. Some shopping carts include reviews built-in, and you just have to turn on that option. Check with the software company that made your cart. There might be a plug-in, if it's not a built-in option. If you have your own custom cart, it may be trickier to integrate an off-the-shelf solution.
