Online business requires more responsibility and of course it brings more profitable outcomes. Online job - it is freelancing, you do what you are good at.

I would prefer to call it Online Business or Affair, because you don't have a boss or a fixed schedule.

I think both have their own disadvantages. An online job would mean that you would have deadlines and the trouble of finding work all the time whereas running an online business would mean you will need to invest a lot of money and try finding new clients.

Good answer but you still get paid working for a business. You may not like the pay rate that you are getting but it's still a JOB.

On the other hand, owning your own business, you keep 100% all of the profits but have to invest money into your business to keep it profitable and pay any employee's that work for you. (Way more responsibility)

I would rather work for a online company that i know will give me job security and a weekly paycheck. Let the business owner worried about all the business side stuff and i'd focus on what my job requirements are. lol

while coming to me I am doing both. The online job and online business. Actually the both things are merged up because I've started my own online services company which will offer the services like web development, online marketing etc. So, in the same time i do business as well as job (by performing the client requested tasks along with my mates).

I just took the poll and I'm with the majority who think that having an online job and a business is best. I don't think it's hard to do both simultaneously specially since both tend to overlap.

I still prefer online job, but it needs an everyday follow up. I want to have an online business so that I can generate income that is way much bigger with doing easier, lesser things (once the business is established).

For now, I am stuck on online jobs.

Good to know about this.Actually as you can see the poll result a good portion really like to do both online job and business at the same time.Yea online job require a daily activity but online business once established can provide revenue for a long term as you said here.

I would prefer to have both an online job (for financial security) and my own online business. But in a way, you can say that when you "sell" your services to companies virtually from home you are running your own business. But I would like to run my own business someday taking advantage of my own skills for the purpose of making my own business grow.

I would answer online business because I can be my own boss, but there's that risk that the business won't be successful. Pardon the pessimism. Anyway, that's something that a good business plan can take care of. There's also this side of me that would want an online job because I'm sure I'm already working for something that's already up and running. Less risk, but I don't have complete control of my time.

Definitely online business because I like the flexibility it offers of doing a project a different way if it's easier or dropping it altogether if it's not working out.

I should say both, because I make more money doing customized jobs than with my online business, but the jobs comes through my online business, so... both.
