Electronics. In Eastern Europe it's really taken off. We are a bit behind the times, but we're catching up fast.

The products you cannot find in a regular brick and mortar store or chain store that people may love to buy.

In other words, you have to create a demand/market or sell something unique in a non competitive field.

While the ideas suggested so far may sell well, their markets are pretty exhausted which makes it pretty competitive for these items. So many sites have the same thing.

Find something that is lacking in your chosen industry and make your product the best selling product/service in that industry.

The best selling products are those that you actually have knowledge about and have a passion for. Many affiliate marketers never understand the benefits of actually promoting something you have a passion for.

It is far easier to create content and blog about something you have a passion for vs trying to sell something just because it is popular.

It is easy to go to Amazon and find what the hot sellers are for that time, but to get everything up and running around that particular product could take some time. Blog about what you know and like. It is almost certain there is an affiliate program around it. Just my opinion though.

The best selling products are in markets with the most competition, so it would be really hard to participate in these markets to get a decent income from it. A more general choice would be information or digital products that help solve problems, improve competence or results, take away pain or other physical complaints, etc. In short: deliver on burnng desires !

Of course these are specific niches or subniches you'd have to research and focus on.

I think you are correct. The top three are very competitive. If you have the right angle to get in you can do well...but I thing a lot of those angles are taken.

It all depends on what you are planning to do with this information. For example, the top 3 searched for items on ebay.com are;

1, Android Tablet
2, iPad
3, iPod

Not the top sold items but the most searched for, so this will lead you to realise that (on ebay anyway) the USA market looks for modern technological gadgets and if one had a website on the first page with these items, there is a good chance that you would be making decent money.

Though the other side of the coin here is that if one has to ask what the best selling things online are, then I would recommend that you keep away from setting up any sort of site selling stuff and do a lot more studying because the Internet Marketers out there are pro's and will eat you alive, which is basically my way of saying that oyu would have to spend an absolute fortune to come anywhere close to competing with these guys as they never have to ask this, they know.
