News websites and Syndication Services Help?

Hi Everyone,

I am searching for News websites that also provide free or paid news syndication service. I am not sure about this model because I see even top news website buy news from Reuters, AFP or other sources. Can anyone guide me where to buy rights to publish/syndicate news?

I am planning to launch a news blog. I need lots of news daily to build an audience. Anyone have this business model running? or experience of running such websites/blogs?

You can buy rights from AP.
Otherwise you can request people submit their feed links. Then you can write a custom aggregator to crawl those content.

I requested pricing from two news sources and they seem to be very expensive for a startup website almost 2000$ to 2500$ per month.

That pricing sounds about right - access to the news wire is not cheap and never has been.

If you think about it though, if you are republishing 5-10 articles from them per day then this works out at only about $10/article which is quite cheap compared to paying a reporter to actually do the reporting for you. Yes this content will not be "exclusive" but that is why it is so cheap.
