Do you like the idea of giving back? Yes, I'm talking about giving back to those customers that matter the most to your business. There are many ways to create loyal customers for your online business but one of the best ideas to achieve this is by creating a customer rewards program for your true blue customers.

With a well planned customer rewards program you'll build stronger relationships and earn customer loyalty, which will save you money in many different ways. In order to create a successful Customer Rewards Program, you'll need to evaluate whether the benefits provided will help build up a loyal customer base. Take for example, when Microsoft launched Bing as a competitor to Google. Microsoft offered monetary cash back on purchases made through the search engine Bing. There were millions of individuals who signed up to take part of the rewards program and make purchases through Bing. However, a majority of users still felt more comfortable using Google as their primary search engine. Bing cash back was also a faulty rewards system that was not tested properly and was riddled with loopholes. As a result, Microsoft shuttered its rewards program in 2010.

The importance of a rewards program is to create a loyal customer base but it is equally important that the product or service that you're offering is as good. Otherwise, the benefits of a rewards program will be quickly dismissed.
