Improving your SEO rankings is not really easy. A 1 month old domain is still young, so don't worry. Usually, you could see changes in about 5 months. Some even takes years.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Google's algorithms are constantly changing. One day you could be on page 1, the next day you could be on page 2. You could be on the top of the list, a moment later, you're at the bottom.

absolutely true ------

Try to compare your site content with your competitor sites. Definitely this approach will help you to get good seo rank.

Um, no, that's just bad advice - period. If the competitor's have somehow employed some kind of shady tactics, it will be either difficult to ascertain what they've done, or, run the risk of backfiring, and you both will end up in "SERP Hell".

Not necessarily, researching your competitors' content and SEO tactics are one of the most essential preparation steps you should take before launching a new website. To this day 'SEOs' are closely monitoring their competitors' content to stay on their heels and find any new innovative tactics to follow.

Keep in mind that researching competitors' content, doesn't necessarily mean copying it.

You need to be patient as it takes time. If is nothing will change in 6 months you may do something wrong, and you may need to find some website optimisation company for assistance.
Hope it helps

Monitoring one's competitors positioning is fine. Taking a once over on what they may or may not be doing is also Ok to maybe learn what not to do. You never know when the next algo update can tank a site. Following their lead, can take one down a path of dubious results.

Do all what's necessary in one's own house first before anything. That is the most essential thing to do. Also, yes, doing the research is not going to get anyone in trouble, but also doing better with one's own site, not following some other site's lead is the better option.

I've found that regularly updating and adding new content helps keep the SERPs healthy. It requires quite a bit of time investment of course.

Google your website's main keywords and see which page your website appears in.

If you wish to go deeper - Ahrefs, Moz tools are the ones to go for.
