12-part recipe for product descriptions that sell

Do your product descriptions sell your product? Have a look at these tips and see where you can make improvements:
When it comes time to write a product description, you need to do a lot more than simply describe the product. You need to actively market it.

Unfortunately, many digital strategists donít take the time to do that. Instead, they just copy and paste some plain-vanilla specifications about the product and throw in a little more detail for good measure.

That doesnít compel people to make a purchase.

Shoppers who land on a product detail page are like fish whoíve just started nibbling at the bait. The product description is meant to set the hook and reel them in ó and as we head into the busy shopping season, thatís more important than ever...

Really great tips. The fourth one especially.

I've read somewhere before something similar - "You are not selling a cream for arthritis. You are selling a relief, joy, happiness."

Good suggestion! Customers don't need product, they are looking for worth information. Try to build high-quality contents.

This is a great share. I have passed this our content writer already. We have handled one such project in the past where we had to compile hundreds of product descriptions for the client and the content writer really faced some trouble there.

I am sure this is going to help her.
