Mals Shopping Cart

We have been having problems with PayPal, from terrible customer service, fraudulent charge backs, not enough tier options, and lack of Fedex integration (we use Fedex and USPS, we will never use UPS).

Has anyone used Mals ecommerce along with Authorize.net?
I do like the ease of PayPal integration and other features, so I am wondering if any others have had good experience with these other shopping cart/ecommerce sites without all the other PayPal issues.

My other concern (& another reason I have not dumped PayPal) is that I have been told by others I trust that PayPal is so well recognized and that so many persons that shop on the internet use PayPal, that dumping them may solve some issues and make a few customers happy, but the net result would be less customers. Any thoughts/opinions about this aspect as well?

Thanks

I dropped paypal pro for some of the same reasons you described. Main reason was I did not approve them adding code to display during checkout that paypal was the "safe" way to pay online. I mean I was PAYING for their service, and I wanted CC customers to feel just as safe.

But did have a lot of customer complaints from those who had previously ordered using pp.

So, I added back regular pp after switching to Auth.net. Not too many issues with it at all with PP. Actually shipping internationally is a lot safer with paypal if you only ship to verified addresses.

Thanks for your feedback, this confirms more of what others elsewhere have told me as well.

Carl, I agree with Lori's opinion: there's just too many people out there using PayPal, so it's still worth keeping as an option. As for Authorize.Net, there's a large number of shopping carts supporting them, and and it looks like yours is certified: http://www.authorize.net/solutions/m...tiondirectory/

I recommend paypal to be used as paypal payments only using paypal as a credit card processor is a so called "no no" they take security too high and will void off any card that is missing a letter in the name. for credit cards try 2checkout.com or authorize.net. Paypal is great but not for credit cards.
